About Us
WiMSA provides a free platform that supports and guides women's personal growth, leadership, and career development in the South African mining industry. We were established in 2010 as a completely independent, volunteer-run non-profit organisation and exist through sponsorships.
We organise professional events that allow our 4,000+ database to build networks
We continually establish partnerships with industry and government
We speak and present at local and international mining events and workshops
We participate in school career fairs facilitated by donors and partner companies
We facilitate an online mentoring programme for young women in mining
We contribute, and write articles for, and are featured in various industry publications
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
